The admission requirements for the first Educare programme is a matric certificate. Each course that follows requires the previous course certificate as an entry requirement.
The Educare Programme
The Educare programme can be divided into four separate courses. The first three courses are theoretically based while the final course focuses on practical work experience.

- Educare: NATED N5 National Certificate (NQF level 5)
- Educare: NATED N6 National Certificate (NQF level 5)
- Educare: NATED N6 National Diploma (NQF level 6)

Duration Of The Educare Programme
The Educare programme has the following duration details:
Educare: NATED N4 National Certificate
12 Months of theoretical work (with some practical work experience for suitable subjects).
Educare: NATED N5 National Certificate
12 Months of theoretical work (with some practical work experience for suitable subjects).
Educare: NATED N6 National Certificate
12 Months of theoretical work (with some practical work experience for suitable subjects).
Educare: NATED N6 National Diploma
You will need to complete 18 months of practical experience.
With 36 months of theory and 18 months of practical experience, the Educare course takes 54 months to get on an Educare Diploma level.
