Help! Yet another requirement to adhere to and a very short deadline to submit an application by – 30 June 2017. Goodness me! Where did this originate from and when was it communicated, what is expected, where do I start, what should I do now, how do I go about this? Questions….many of them…. Here is a few QAs about DHET registration that might be useful when you submit your application (when…soon, very soon!)

A 2. Keeping abreast of current and relevant news in education pertaining to amendments and changes to White Papers and Bills should be the main function of your very competent Quality Assurer or ETD Specialist. Subscribing to sites like skills –universe, FET Colleges is also a good idea.

A3. August 2016

Q4. What is the first step in the process of submitting an application?

A4. Go to DHET website www.dhet.org.za and down load the relevant application form.

Q5. Which is the relevant form?

A5. Depending on the qualification and NQF Level e.g. OQSF qualifications at NQF Level 1 – 6 you need.

Q9. When will I received feedback?

A9. The outcome might take up to six months.

Q10. How will the outcome be communicated?

A10. The DHET will provide an official letter and indicate when a site visit will take place, should the application be successful.

Q11. What if my application was unsuccessful?

A11. Usually DHET will provide requirements (a report) with clear stipulations indicating aspects to amend (remediation)
