The ICB registration process can be confusing. This is because there are many different ways to register for an ICB course. There is no right or wrong or better option but all of them have advantages and disadvantages. So how can you register? There are two ways that we will look at in this article.

Registering Using the ICB Learner Portal
You can register online by using the ICB Learner Portal. To do so you will need to go to the secure ICB Portal login page. On this page you will have the option to log in, reset your password, or register. You will need to click on “Register” and follow all the steps, providing all the information you need to. Once you finish the registration process you will be able to choose a course to register for. Select your course and choose the training provider you are using to study your course. From this portal, you can also register for your ICB exams and even find your ICB results.
This is a very simple and easy signup process but there are some disadvantages. The biggest disadvantage to using this option is that you are on your own throughout the process. You can’t ask for help or get anything explained to you. Also, you will need to make all the payments to the ICB yourself. This can be done through the portal too and you can pay in one of three ways. You can pay by credit card, eft, or SnapScan.

Registering Through an ICB Partner
This is probably the most common option. Signing up through a training provider that has partnered with the ICB is usually quite a simple and painless process as your provider helps you with every step of your registration. The advantage of choosing this method is that you have someone that can explain everything to you as you go through the entire process and you can ask questions at any time.
The biggest disadvantage to this method, however, is that you need to pay a fee to your provider. This fee usually includes your ICB registration fee and then a fee which goes directly to your training provider. Another thing that you need to be aware of is that not all providers include the exam fees in your fees. This means that you will need to pay this fee separately later on so make sure to find out about this so that you aren’t caught unawares later on.
