You need 80%, to pass with a distinction in a subject. You can get as many distinctions as you want in Grade 12, there is no limit. Your distinctions will show on your Matric results and in the newspaper as well.

If you have failed one subject in Matric, you still pass. In Grade 12, you are allowed to fail at least one subject and still achieve 30% or more in your other six subjects (including Life Orientation).

It is important that you prepare well for your exams because not only would it help you achieve good marks, but it will boost your confidence. Here is a list of tips that can help you:
