Curriculum Assessment Policy Statements (CAPS) 

South African schools adhere to an official policy statement called the National Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement. Each subject that is allowed in grades R through 12 are listed in the policy. This policy also includes program and promotion standards for grades R through 12. Each subject developed its own Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement. The following is the IsiXhosa curriculum and assessment policy statement:
